Gateway FAQ

Gateway FAQ

What does Gateway do?

With the growth in tokenized RWA (real world assets), Marketnode believes issuers – and their agents - will require a comprehensive, neutral infrastructure to harness the potential of tokenized RWA. Whereas tokenization is a key technology offering , bringing an asset to market involves much more: data, workflow management, documentation, tokenization and automated asset servicing.

With the advent of Tokenized asset formats, issuers will need a multi-asset, multi-format platform. Marketnode Gateway aims to be exactly that.

What asset classes does Gateway cover?

We cover credit (bonds, loans) and structured notes (e.g. fixed coupon notes). We are keen to work with issuers to support new asset classes, so please reach out to us on enquiries@marketnode.com

Who is Gateway meant for?

Key users are issuers (financial institutions, corporates) and their agents (arrangers, structuring agents and law firms).

What services do you provide across these asset classes?

As an end-to-end infrastructure, we offer capabilities across data, workflow, tokenization and asset servicing

  • ESG and structured legal data

  • Automated document generation (term sheets, supplements, certs)

  • Connectivity to traditional market infrastructure (e.g. clearing systems) or back-office/booking systems

  • Tokenized issuance, settlement and automated asset servicing

Do I have to take the entire product suite? or can I pick one or more of the available services?

You need not take the entire product suite and can pick your preferred offering by modules above.

How does onboarding work and who needs to sign what documentation?

Interested participants sign the onboarding documents, which is followed by platform onboarding (creation of user profiles) and training. Tokenization infrastructure: in addition to the above, MN will conduct some KYC (know your customer) checks and work with issuers & their agents on training and testing. Depending on the modules used, MN will facilitate issuer wallet setups.

Typical onboarding processes can take anywhere from 2-4 weeks depending on modules used & assuming existing asset class support.

How does charging work?

Gateway charges issuers (or agents) as appropriate a flat subscription price for data and workflow products.

Depending on the asset class and operational model, tokenized asset infrastructure can be charged as:

  • Flat subscription based fee per annum

  • Per issuance flat fee; or

  • Per issuance lifecycle management fee

MN will work closely with issuers & issuer agents on charging model optimization.
